Monthly Dances in Charlottesville:
There are no hard and fast rules in dance (who said that?), but generally this is what happens inCharlottesville. However, assume nothing and check the links to confirm details.
First Saturday
This is typically organized by USA Dance
Second Saturday
Stacy's Jam is hosted at the MAC by Sue & Stacy Suter, but not every month!
The 2008 dates are February 9, April 12, June 14, August 9, October 11, November 8
Third Saturday
This is typically organized by CSDS (that's us in case you forgot!)
Fourth Wednesday
Formerly Fry's Spring Country Wednesdays was a weekly dance, however beginning in
March 2008 it will be held only once a month, and they may drop the 'country' from their name,
you will still hear some country, just not all country.
So get out now to the Fry's Spring 4th Wednesday dance.

Fry’s Spring Beach Club is a nonprofit club.
All proceeds from Fourth Wednesdays go to maintenance and restoration of FSBC’s historic Ballroom.

This is the night of the 4th Swing dance. Dates and themes for 2008:
3/22 - Motown March, featuring Motown's top dance hits
4/26 - Barry Durand, UCWDC Champion, workshops during the day
5/24 - Back to the Beach party, wear your beach/Hawaiian clothes

8/23 - Retro Dance Party, featuring best dance music from 70s & 80s
9/27 - Professional Dance Instructor for workshops during the day
10/25 - Back in Black, be dressed in black
11/22 - Blues Night, featuring Best of Blues music
12/27 - Holiday Party

This is typically NOT organized by anyone, but pay attention - things happen.
