 Annual Halloween Dance!
Come on out and strut your stuff in the Costume Contest
at this month's Halloween Dance on
October 16th at Unity Church!
Aidan Keith-Hynes returns to DJ this favorite annual event with Al
& Alyssa Lundgren of The Dance Oasis teaching the pre-dance lessons
(inc. in your admission) in Salsa. Need a costume? Try
places like Party Starts Here (Seminole Square, Pantops), K-Mart,
Target, eBay, search online, try thrift shops and secondhand stores, make
your own costume! Costumes are not required but are encouraged. Prizes
will be given for the best costumes! To get an idea of what people
wear, check out last year's Halloween Dance!

DC's Largest West Coast Swing Flash Mob
Word is spreading about the upcoming DC WCS Flash Mob which
will take place midday on Saturday, October 16th at a time/location
TBA. The first WCS Flash Mob took place on August 21st in Houston and
thanks to YouTube and Facebook, news of this event spread like
wildfire! DC area dance promoter Dave Moldover then organized the
upcoming flash mob for the Washington area which is open to
everyone! Here is the choreography for
those who would like to learn it and particpate in the event. Visit

Highlights from the September Dance
Thanks to all who came to our September dance at our
new venue, the Fellowship Room of Unity Church! We
had a great turnout for our lessons and the dance. Thanks to
DJs/Instructors Jeff Freeman and Mary Rose Serafini for their great
music selection and Country 2-Step lessons! Our next dance is our Annual Halloween Dance
with DJ Aidan Keigh-Hynes and Instructors Al & Alyssa Lundgren of The
Dance Oasis teaching the pre-dance lessons in Salsa - 6:30 pm Beginner lesson
and 7:15 pm Intermediate lesson. Our dance is 8-11 pm with our Costume Contest
(with PRIZES!!!) at 9
pm. All at the Unity Church - see you then!
