Tuesday, February 17th AND Wednesday, February 18th, from 6-9
pm at the Murray High School Gym. Note: these classes are only for those students
currently registered in Kristin's Winter Session 1, to make up
for the January 6th & 27th classes which were cancelled
due to inclement

Illumination Dance, Saturday, Feb.
21st
 CSDS welcomes national pro &
instructor Jason Barnes to Charlottesville for
our February dance! Jason will teach 4
workshops (1 Hustle & 3 West Coast Swing), give private
lessons and attend our Catered Dinner preceding our Illumination Dance on Saturday,
February 21st at the Greek Orthodox Church
Fellowship Hall in Downtown Charlottesville.
Workshops will start around 2 pm and finish up before the
dance starts at 8 pm.
Details are being finalized and complete information and
Registration Form will be posted on the CSDS
website and sent to you as soon as they are
available. In the meantime, save the date ~
Saturday, February 21st!
Jason will also be available to give Private
Lessons by appointment only. Contact Larry
Saunders (434-466-5662) to
schedule your private with Jason.
Our February dance is our annual Illumination
Dance! What's THAT?! That means lights,
lights, lights! Bring/wear your own illumination
acceessories such as blinking or glow-in-the-dark rings,
bracelets, necklaces. Maybe Booty Couple Eddie K and
Adela will wear their cheesy bling-bling message belts
again?! We'll also have illumination accessories on hand
to give out, first-come, first-served so get there
early! Come one, come all and let there be
LIGHT!! ~

Ken Roesel from the DC/MD area returned
to DJ our first dance of 2009! Ken started off the
evening by teaching well-attended beginner and intermediate
lessons in West Coast Swing. A swingin' time

 Come Practice at Swing
Swap!
CSDS's FREE Weekly Dance Practice
CSDS hosts a FREE weekly dance practice called Swing Swap*!! If you are like
most, you need to practice what you learn in dance class in
order to retain it so come on out and practice your new moves
while they are fresh in your mind so they can become a
permanent part of your dance repertoire! Swing Swap is
held on Thursdays* from 7:30 - 9 pm at the Murray High School
Gym. It's "Open House" style so arrive at any
time. DJ Lisa Morales plays a variety of music ~ East
Coast Swing, West Coast Swing, Hustle, Nightclub 2-Step,
Country 2-Step, Cha Cha, Waltz, etc. Swing Swap is a
relaxed and friendly atmosphere for practice. All
are welcome, with or without partners, any level of
experience!
* In case of inclement weather, Swing Swap is cancelled
if Albemarle County Public Schools close. Check for
